Magnus F. Andersson (1953, Sweden) teaches brass playing and composition, and works as a trombonist in ensemble Respons Sinfonietta, Stockholm. Andersson studied composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH) with, among others, Bengt-Arne Wallin, Daniel Börtz, Per Lindgren, and Sven-David Sandström. He writes music for orchestra, wind bands, chamber groups, choir, solo instruments, and live electronics. Some of his compositions are: Under bron, under tiden (Under the Bridge, Under the Time, 1991) for wind band; Concert for Symphonic Wind Band House of Seven Rooms (1994); Parlando for flute and harp (1996); Förändringsfanfar (Fanfare of changes, 1996–1998) – 365 short pieces for two brass players; Ice Movement for orchestra(2004–2006); Galliard/Broken Galliard for flute and guitar (2007).
