Anja Đorđević (1970) graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Composition Department, class of Vlastimir Trajković.

Her main creative preoccupation is vocal music and music theater. Hence her cycles: Three Songs for solo voice; three songs dedicated to Nikola Tesla – Total Reflection, Time – the Enemy, Niagara (included in the multi-media work Tesla – Total Reflection); Si me quitaran; Jara; multi-media piece Classifides, musical The Life of Ephraim, opera Narcissus and Echo… She composed music for numerous plays and contemporary dance shows, for several documentary films, exhibitions, installations and short audio-video forms. Anja Đorđević is active as a performer of her music (voice, piano). With ensembles Marsias and Flat Sky she appeared at many domestic festivals: Ring-Ring, BELEF, Jazz Festival in Kanjiža, InterZone, EXIT, International Review of Composers…

She won the Stevan Mokranjac Award in 2002 for her chamber opera Narcissus and Echo.
