Seglias Zesses (1984, Greece) born in Edessa. Studies with Michalis Lapidakis and Beat Furrer in Greece and Austria. PhD candidate with Dimitri Papageorgiou (Greece). Further studies and performances At various workshops (Royaumont, Acanthes, Impuls, Darmstadt, Tchaikovsky Academy, Tzlil Meudcan) with G. Aperghis, P. Billone, G. F. Haas, C. Czernowin, Μ. Andre, M. Stroppa, Ph. Hurel, K. Lang, P. Ablinger, J. Schölhorn, D. Kourliandski among others. 2012: 1st prize at the International Einojuhani Rautavaara Chamber Choir Composition Workshop and Competition |2013: Ernst. Composition prize (Ernst Krenek Institute, Impuls Academy and Klangforum Wien).|2015: Finalist at the Joseph Fux Opera Composition Competition 2017: Opera commission by the Bregenz Festspiele.
