Beogradski gudački kvartet

Belgrade String Quartet established itself as one of the leading chamber ensembles in Serbia, over the years of successful concert performances and wide presence in the media.
Quartet performed in every major city in Serbia and was the participant of several domestic and international music festivals: BELEF, International Review of Composers, Kalemegdanski Sutoni, Mokranjac Festival and International Chamber Music Festival in Niš. Quartet was the residential chamber ensemble at the Isidor Bajić Memorial in Novi Sad.
Belgrade String Quartet also participates widely at the international scene: Festival Barski Ljetopis in Montenegro, Festival Autumn Encounters in Skoplje, Macedonia, several tours in Italy (Veneto) and Germany, and concert in Washington in the USA.
Belgrade String Quartet made lots of recordings for the national broadcasting corporation of Serbia (RTS), and recorded four CD-s.
The repertoire of the Belgrade String Quartet consists of the classic compositions for string quartet and compositions of other music genres adjusted for the string quartet. Special emphasis is on the quartet`s performances of the contemporary music.
The members of the Belgrade String Quartet are:
Nevenka Tatić and Vladimir Vasiljević – violins, Ivana Erčić – viola, and Dušan Stojanović – cello
The Quartet are occasionally joined by the renowned pianist Ljiljana Vukelja, the winner of several international and Serbian competitions, who has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. Vukelja teaches piano as an associate professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
