Diego Soifer (1981, Argentina) studied music from an early age, and specialized in composition when he was 16 years old. At the age of 21 he moved to Canada, to continue his studies at the University of Toronto, where he obtained a Bachelor Degree with Honor Standing. When turning 24, he moved to The Netherlands to do a Master Degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. At the graduation he received the Nicolaïfonds for the most exceptional graduate of his generation. He currently resides in The Netherlands working with the most prestigious ensembles of the country, as well as some from the rest of Europe. He also writes music for theatre, music-theatre, and contemporary dance. He was selected among 100 candidates to take part at the prestigious Nouvel Ensemble Moderne Forum 2010 for Composers in Montreal, Canada. He also composed for Wonderlijke Klanken, a music-theatre education project seen by over 5000 children every year at Het Concertgebouw.

He is the founder and artistic director of Ur (www.urmusic.nl), a music group that blends various music styles in a personal manner.

This is a love song made in collaboration with Argentine writer Martina Broner, by skype.
The music was made before the text.
It won the Njwebyrth international love song competition in 2009, on period instruments.
In 2010 it was re-instrumentated for the formation playing today.
