Jovica Mutavdžić (1978, Serbia) finished primary music school “Stevan Mokranjac” in Raška, and secondary music school “Dr Vojislav Vučković” in Belgrade, the Department for Accordion. He received his BA and MA degrees in composition from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Prof. Milan Mihajlović. Some of the prizes he has won are: Second Prize at the International Competition Morro d’Oro (Italy, 1995) for classic accordion, and “Josip Slavenski” Award for his graduate composition A village at the bottom of a volcano for large symphony orchestra. He lives and works in Raška where he teaches accordion and piano at the Primary Music School “Stevan Mokranjac”.

Duo is inspired by folk music motifs and consonant harmony. This composition is also characterized by a faster tempo, and in part a triple meter and verse-chorus form element.
