Ivan Vukosavljević

Ivan Vukosavljević (1986, Serbia/Netherlands) studied composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he is still based. His music has been performed at festivals such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Netherlands), Listenpony (Great Britain), Mise-En Festival (USA), Cheltenham Music Festival (Great Britain), Young Composers Meeting (Netherlands), ICon Arts (Romania), etc. Vukosavljević has collaborated with ensembles such as Ensemble Klang (Netherlands), Metamorphosis (Serbia), Mise-En (USA), Emulsion Ensemble (Great Britain), LP Duo (Serbia), Stargaze (Germany), NAS Duo (Great Britain), Orkest de Ereprijs (Netherlands), Kluster5 (Netherlands), RTÉ Contempo Quartet (Ireland), etc. In 2017, he was nominated for the Gaudeamus Award.

Trills, spills & bellyaches (2015) is a study of the harmonic capabilities of a string, discovered by means of amplification and special performing techniques oN the electric guitar. The piece has been performed several times, including at venues such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht (2016) and Mise-En Festival in New York (2017).
