Nataša Penezić

Nataša Penezić (1984, Serbia) graduated at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of Prof. Svetlana Bogino. After acquiring a master’s degree from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, she entered the doctoral programme at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, under the supervision of Prof. Dubravka Jovičić. In 2014, she joined the faculty of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, as a vocational teacher at the department of piano practice. Penezić has participated in festivals such as Euro Arts Music Festival, Aurora Festival, Klangspuren IEMA, Aarhus Festival, Kom och Hör, Città di Chioggia festival, Musica in Laguna festival, European Clarinet Festival, Ring Ring, KoMA, KompArt, and Palić Film Fest. As a guest of honour she débuted in Moscow with KREDO Orchestra in 2000 and then performed with the Chioggia Symphony Orchestra. In 2000, she won a number of awards at competitions in Serbia, Italy, and France. After getting through to the semi-finals at the Ljunggrenska tävlingen competition in Gothenburg, Sweden, she won a stipend from the Swedish Royal Academy of Art. She actively collaborates with composers, most prominently with Frederic Rzewski, Sofia Gubaidulina, and Jasmina Mitrušić.
