Vladimir Gligorić

Vladimir Gligorić (1979, Beograd, Srbija) graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Jokut Mihailović, completed his Master’s and Doctorate in the class of Aleksandar Serdar and briefly studied with Elizabeth Athanassova at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva.

Gligorić is a laureate of the International Piano Competition In memory of Emil Gilels in Odessa (Ukraine, 2010), as well as a finalist of the International competitions Jeunesses Musicales in Belgrade (Serbia, 2009) and Bösendorfer & Schimell in Phoenix, Arizona (USA, 2011), at which he received the Special Award for the best performance of a virtuoso piece. He was awarded the annual prize of the Association of Musical Artists of Serbia for best young artist in 2010 by the specialist magazine Muzika Klasika.

He has given numerous recitals in Serbian cities, as well as in several European cities including Rome, Geneva, Paris and Barcelona. The festivals that he has performed at include Oktoih, Cello Fest, Mermer i Zvuci, International Review of Composers, BUNT and KoMA in Serbia, Hvar Summer and the Music Biennale Zagreb in Croatia and Balkan Forum in Bulgaria.

He has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia, the Belgrade Strings „Dušan Skovran”, the orchestra Camerata Serbica, under the direction of Bojan Suđić, Biljana Radovanović, Vladimir Kranjčević, Dragomir Nenov, Hobart Earl and Alexander Walker. He has recorded for Radio Television of Serbia.

Vladimir Gligorić is a Senior Artistic Associate at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
