devotioModerna has a basic structure of six instruments: flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and percussion, to which other instruments, as well as singers and a reciter were sometimes added. During its ten years of existence, the outstanding performers, with a solid experience in contemporary music, often played together with younger and talented instrumentalists, and shared their know-how in this special field of interpretation.

The main stylistic direction taken on by the ensemble is performing Romanian modern and contemporary works, some of them for world première.Numerous works of Romanian composers from different generations and well-known composers from the Romanian diaspora have been performed, along with the works of world-renowned composers.

The devotioModerna Ensemble is now seen as an original and appreciated promoter of new classical music in Romania.
