Night without moon light for a string ensemble, flute and glockenspiel. The modal based harmonies and lines along with the choice of the specific instrumentation of the piece is a reference to the impressionistic and romantic era. It’s a nocturne – like piece of the period in which the flute keeps the prominent soloistic role that flows above the strings and commented by the jingle bell like sounds of the glockenspiel.
