About the work

Piano Trio no. 2 is a work greatly influenced by the rhythmic and melodic heritage of traditional Balkan music. The work is written in three parts, whereas in the first and third movements rhythmic diversity and variability prevail, while the second (slow) movement is mostly focused on a diverse harmonic-melodic flow. The composition was commissioned by the ensemble Belgrade Trio and completed in 2020.
