Predrag Radisavljević

Predrag Radisavljević (b. 1993, Serbia) graduated from the Department of Composition, in the class of Branka Popović, at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. He completed his undergraduate and master studies at the Department of Accordion in the class of prof. Miljan Bjeletić at the Faculty of Arts in Niš. He is currently a student of MA studies in Music Production, a MA in Composition and a PhD in Digital Arts. Since 2020, he has worked as a teaching associate at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and since 2022 he has been an assistant at the Department of Composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

As a composer and orchestrator he cooperated with Chamber Orchestra Schlezinger, Niš Symphony Orchestra, Akkordeonorchester Unterpfaffenhofen Munchen, Chamber Orchestra Montenegrini from Montenegrom, Academic Accordion Orchestra of Kragujevac City, with Vlatko Stefanovski, Chamber Ensemble Art Family. He participated as a composer and music producer in numerous theater and film projects under production of: National Serbian Theater Joakim Vujić in Kragujevac, National Theater in Belgrade, RTS and FDU, Kombank Hall, Doha Opera House (Qatar), Sava Center in Belgrade, etc.

His works have been performed in Serbia, Spain, Qatar, Slovakia, Canada, Austria, Croatia and Montenegro.

As a composer, he is part of the international project #synergy co-funded by the EC Creative Europe programme.

About the piece

Schizophrenia for cello and accordion belongs to the cycle of compositions inspired by the mental diseases which occur among people.

Schizophrenia is a type of mental disorder which is characterized by an abrupt halt of the process of thinking and by a very emotional reaction.
