Božo Banović (b. 1963, Srbija) completed studies of composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he studied with Rajko Maksimović and Vlastimir Trajković. He is the author of several dozen chamber, orchestral and vocal compositions. Besides various festivals in Serbia (The International Review of Composers, Obzorja na Tisi in Novi Bečej, etc.), his works were performed in several European countries, in RSA, Australia and USA. He is also active as a music pedagogue and piano accompanist.

About the piece

The piece Drugi jesenji mesec [Second Month of Autumn] for basson and piano, Op. 59, was written during autumn 2021 and it is inspired by the joyfulness of events which occur independently of us, but which could be gone very soon.
