Mej-Fang Lin

Mei-Fang Lin (b. 1973, Taiwan) received her B.A. from the National Taiwan Normal University, M.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. She also lived in France for three years where she studied with composer Philippe Leroux and attended the one-year intensive computer music course at IRCAM in Paris. Lin’s music has won numerous awards and honors from international composition competitions held in the US, France, Italy, England, Argentina, Greece, Korea and Taiwan. Her music has been performed and broadcasted internationally in over 30 countries in the world. Lin has taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Texas Tech University in the US for 10 years before returning to her home country to assume the position of Associate Professor of Composition at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan where she currently teaches.
