Miharu Ogura

Pianist/composer Miharu Ogura (b.1996) is currently based in Frankfurt, Germany. After winning seven prizes including the composition prize „André Chevillon – Yvonne Bonnaud” at the Orléans International Piano Competition in 2018, she began to build her international career. Concert tours and projects have taken her to various European countries, such as Darmstädter Ferienkurse, ManiFeste, Klangspuren Schwaz, Festival Mixtur, Monopiano Festival etc. Her first CD „Ogura Plays Stockhausen” was released in February 2023 by thanatosis. As a composer, her works have been performed by professional musicians, such as Trio Estatico, Zöllner-Roche Duo, Francesco Tristano, Jonas Olsson etc.

She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Toho College of Music, where she studied with Yumiko Meguri (piano) and Masahiro Ishijima (composition).

Since 2019, she has been studying in the master’s program then in the Konzertexamen with Florian Hölscher at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt.
